True to our motto “Working Out Loud”, we at GANDT Ventures we exchange our thoughts and ideas on current news topics in the world of online marketing, digital retail, and e-commerce. This helps us uncover opportunities that can be used for companies and our clients as part of our daily business.
But most of all, it is a lot of fun and a great way to share knowledge.
Our podcast-style chats are available to anyone who is interested to find out more about what Google, Facebook, Amazon and the likes are up to.
Listen in, learn a little something and get to know the team. 🙂🎧📹 All recordings are in German – don’t forget to turn on the (automatic YouTube) Captions if you need help translating our words to English.
Facebook Shops – An alternative to Amazon’s Marketplace?
We have often mentioned it – online trade is booming, especially in the current situation.
Many stationary traders have had to restructure in recent months and move their goods to the net in order to be able to sell their goods even in the Covid-19 crisis.
If you as a retailer had no resources to create your own online shop, there was no way around the marketplace of the online giant Amazon.
Now Facebook also wants to become a contact point for online retailers and will launch Facebook shops on 19 May 2020. Retailers can now present and sell their goods via Facebook shops.
The user can then put goods into the shopping cart and also pay, without leaving the Facebook and Instgram environment .
In the near future, Facebook plans to add the ability to make purchases directly from a chat in WhatsApp, Messenger or Instagram Direct.
Facebook Shops are now available in selected regions, including Germany.
The social media platform sees Facebook Shops as an opportunity to make the advertisements in the network even more valuable for partners.
Is the new trading platform really competitive? Join us at our Fireside Chat #022 and follow our discussion about the long-term goals of this feature and the potential that may arise.
