True to our motto “Working Out Loud”, we at GANDT Ventures exchange our thoughts and ideas on current news topics in the world of online marketing, digital retail, and e-commerce. This helps us uncover opportunities that can be used for companies and our clients as part of our daily business.

But most of all, it is a lot of fun and a great way to share knowledge. Our podcast-style chats are available to anyone who is interested to find out more about what Google, Facebook, Amazon and the likes are up to. Listen in, learn a little something and get to know the team.

Switzerland‘s largest retailer, launches Migros M-Plus, a customer loyalty program “Amazon Prime”-style

The stores of the Migros Group are an essential part of the Swiss retail retail environment. Now the largest retailer in Switzerland, known for its supermarkets and the online shops and marketplaces Digitec Galaxus, was inspired by the worldwide success of Amazon Prime.

Migros is introducing a subscription model that is very similar to that of Amazon Prime. It remains to be seen whether it will be received with approval by Swiss society.

We took a closer look at this topic here and made a comparison with Amazon Prime.

Google becomes more transparent: Search suggestions based on recent user activity

Google now displays suggested search queries based on the activities previously performed. The “proposal” appears as a link below the search bar with the suggestion on how to modify your search highlighted. Although we noticed some “start-up difficulties”, we are curious.

Is this feature really an innovation, or is Google “simply” becoming more transparent here?
Does this feature result in benefits that a search marketer can monetize below the line?

Feel free to take a look at our video and follow the discussion.
