In this discussion, we deep dive into a list of slightly existential questions about the ‘fake’ world we are all living in: social media. There is great difficulty in spotting the difference and being able to determine which ads are real, which accounts to follow, which comments to believe and which links to click on. Each of these decisions influences our personal world of social media, and ultimately our ‘real’ ones. So how do we make sure that we are safe?

A website relaunch is most commonly used to improve the user experience, the efficiency and functionality of a site, and contributes to the general management of the brand. However, there is a wide variety of reasons that push companies to take such a step. In this discussion our team members talk about several key aspects to consider in order to figure out whether a website relaunch is truly for you. They discuss what the implications are, what the risks are and how companies can make the most out of such a strategic move.
The starter program was designed after realising that there was a need for both us and the market to grow more digital talent. It was built with the mindset of educating and training as many people about digital marketing as possible. The program is a traineeship, which means that GANDT offers a paid (digital) training program to people who have gained first experiences in marketing. Additionally, trainees are taught the GANDT way or working, which means integration into client teams and co-creating in a far broader sense than what marketing consulting is usually known for.
Every day at GANDT we develop our problem solving minds, as we tackle issues, overcome obstacles, and implement solutions. We are constantly learning from each other and our clients. However, no matter how much we progress, there is always more knowledge to explore and new skills to learn.
During our Quarterly gathering last week, our team got together for what was an important and fruitful workshop led by our founder Jacek. The topic was triggering for us as individuals and as a group: as we focused on Learning and Development and what this represents for us, we brainstormed about methods, techniques, rules and exercises that could be implemented here at GANDT to leverage some of these ideas and contribute to our growth.
To begin, we dedicated some time to think about what personal development means to us. For some, this resinated on a personal level where improving health and peace of mind, reducing stress, and developing greater resilience and happiness were at the forefront. For others, the focus was stretched across a wider spectrum where building strong relationships, increasing productivity in the workplace, and becoming a better communicator were most valuable.
We used a co-creative approach to discuss practical ways in which we could leverage these ideas. Discussing the ‘how’ resulted in the following suggestions:
- Taking courses
- Shadowing each other
- Watching videos
- Sharing learnings on a weekly basis
- Initiating and taking part in open learning sessions
- Improving communication through workshops
- Brainstorming as a team
To flesh out these practical exercises, we took one step further to discuss the topics that we considered most valuable. These covered several different areas.
- active listening
- business story telling
- non-verbal communication – body language
- asking questions
- learning industry jargon in both English and German
- building meaningful business relationships
- managing a schedule
- optimising productivity and performance
- mastering g-suite
- setting priorities
- how to do presentations
- mastering notion
- improving understanding of the tools we use every day
- brainstorming on how to focus and block distractions
- developing motivation and drive
- balancing work and private life
- giving and receiving feedback
Reflecting on ‘why’ there is a need for learning and development after discussing ‘what’ this means to us and ‘how’ we can achieve it, was an effective way to demonstrate what value each team member can bring to the table. Indeed, thinking about what is important to us as individuals and having the opportunity to communicate and materialise it creates a sense of purpose and fulfilment. Most importantly, creating habits, being disciplined and taking initiative are necessary and part of our responsibilities in the workplace. To ensure the continuity of our co-creative workshop, we identified next steps which would start by engaging with our respective manager as well as our team mates, to communicate objectives and expectations.
What you get by achieving your goals is not as important as what you become by achieving them.

Striving for a proactive lifestyle, both privately and professionally, is what we believe in here at GANDT. The development of ones self is an ongoing process in which learning, challenging, reflecting and adapting are key, and creating the right environment for this to happen is the first step. Defining development ideas and designing a program is the next, in which we all have an internal role to play.
In the last 2 years we’ve seen strong growth in e-commerce sales across the board, but the percentage has decreased in the last quarter. Even though e-commerce is still growing, we have hit a bump. The projection of e-commerce thriving was recognised internationally. However, the majority of business cases demonstrate that start-ups and companies in general are now struggling. In this Fireside chat, we discuss why this has happened, and what companies could do to tackle this important issue.
The cookie banner is a disruptive and unrelated text that appears in the middle of the page which forces the customer to make a decision. Using a banner may have an impact on the performance of campaigns. As marketeers, our GANDTies asked themselves during this discussion whether or not they should get more involved in how these banners are deployed in the landing pages for which they create campaigns.
GANDT’s first Co-Creation Team Event
In April , we held our first Co-Creation event. The goal of this event was to discuss what co-creation really means to us individually but also as a team, and how we can leverage it within our new space. Over the last few months we have been developing the concept of Learning Out Loud, which mirrors our definition of co-creation. Indeed, it is a way of optimising our learnings together, by helping us to overcome boundaries in communication and team dynamics.
As its role in our ever-changing social media landscape continues to evolve, Instagram updates have been announced—and they indicate some pretty significant changes to the platform. First—it will be adding two new feeds to the app, and secondly—it is updating the existing home feed with more content from accounts you don’t already follow (i.e., recommendations).
When it comes to newsletter design, there are specific requirements imposed by email clients and mobile apps that you need to keep in mind. You can spot a well-designed newsletter if it engages with the recipient and invites you to take action. A well-crafted newsletter will help you increase your Click-Through-Rate (CTR) and Opening Rates (OR).
At GANDT, we are incredibly proud of the company we’ve built and the exceptional individuals who bring our vision and ideas to life. To give you a bit of insight into what it’s like to work at GANDT, we sat down with two of our core team members to discuss life as part of the crew.
When engaging in email newsletter marketing, you have full control of the timing, content, and context in which you share information. You are not subject to the often unpredictable algorithms of social media and are more likely to establish a meaningful connection to customers.
Earlier this month, Google announced that (by the end of the year) they would be moving their Google AdSense (AdSense for Content, Video, and Games) auction from second-price to first-price. This came as a bit of a surprise because Google AdSense has held on to second-price auctions for decades.
